Venue of the Month: Trinity House

November’s Venue of the Month is the beautiful Trinity house.

Trinity House is an exquisite venue with a Neo-Classical façade, designed by Samuel Wyatt in 1794; it offers a unique historic and quintessentially English Venue just a stone’s throw from the bustling City of London. The Penniblack team are amazed with the stunning views coming from right outside their large sash windows; not only can you admire the tranquil Trinity Square Gardens and the River Thames but you can appreciate London’s historic landmark, the Tower of London.

On entering the House’s grand Reception Room, its history becomes apparent. Intricate models of maritime vessels and lighthouses flank the columned doors and reflect the role played by Trinity House over the last 300 years in Britain’s maritime history. Dominating the room is a magnificent, Georgian twin-curved staircase flanked by statues of two important benefactors – Captain Sandes and Captain Maples.

At Penniblack we are proud to celebrate with Trinity House the 500th anniversary of the Corporation of Trinity House. What is this you ask? Well… on May 20th, 1514, a young King Henry VIII granted a Royal Charter to a fraternity of mariners called the Guild of the Holy Trinity “so that they might regulate the pilotage of ships in the King’s streams”, a huge milestone event in the history of British Maritime.

To celebrate, Trinity House, is giving a celebratory gift of 500 rose petals presented to any wedding clients for the whole of 2014, and bookings made for month of May will receive a discount of £500 off the venue hire for that month only.  In addition, a complimentary bottle of Pol Roger Reserve Champagne will be given to any private and/or wedding client who confirms a booking between 1st October – 31st December, 2013, for the private hire of the venue in 2014.  The Champagne will be presented on the day of the event (in 2014).

Putting the fun back into lunch

It’s 12 in the afternoon on a standard day at the office and your tummy is starting to make those grumbling noises which translate to ‘feed me!’… Your thoughts immediately turn to that bland soggy lunch waiting for you and well, quite frankly it’s just not that appealing.

Well Penniblack are on a mission to prevent your taste buds even coming near to those drab lunches and aim to deliver a catering service that is convenient, affordable and most importantly creative and exciting. We will provide healthy and balanced meals for the whole team in the workplace.  We will use only the very best seasonal ingredients which are proven to be beneficial for your performance throughout the day. That means low GI, slow release energy and brain food, bursting with vitamins and minerals.
